A Star is Born

Stars have a life
Of their own,
Rising majestically,
From beneath the feet
Of our wildest dreams.

I stood on my star this morning
Gazing at the dolphin studded sea.

Perhaps I've always been a star
And just didn't remember --
A starfish swimming in the ocean
Of my own imagination,
Riding the crest of my own wave --
Receding and rising again.

Stars have a way
Of being born,
Crystalizing the pre-dawn sky
With their infinitely faceted truths --

Each a shimmering crysalis of things
Yet to be that have always been --
A seamless, endless reflection
Of everyone and everything.
